INTRODUCTION PROCESS

Imperial Canine is a Daycare & Home boarding facility, meaning your dog(s) are boarded in our home with our own two dogs. We are not a kennell. For this reason all dogs must be friendly towards other dogs with worming and vaccinations up to date.

All new dogs will be subject to a structured introduction process with our two dogs, this takes place on the first day’s day care.

*As of April 2025, we are only taking on small breeds.

DAYCARE

Daycare times are between 8.30am - 6pm. Flexible upon request.

We require a minimum of 2 days day care per month to become a client. This is to ensure a safe and familiar environment. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate one-off’s.

OVERNIGHT BOARDING

Boarding dates are usually fully booked by our regular daycare clients, however we can accomodate new dogs subject to availability.

*Any new dogs will be subject to a trial consisting of one day’s day care charged at standard rate. If staying for more that two nights, a trial night will be requried in addition to a day’s day care and charged at standard rate.

As of April 2025, we only take small breeds at Imperial Canine.

VACS, WORMING & FLEA

We require dogs to be fully vaccinated, wormed and be free of fleas prior to boarding at Imperial Canine. We will ask for either a vaccination certificate or your vet records.

FOOD

All food is freshly cooked and included in your daycare / boarding price. You are welcome to bring your own food however we do not accept Raw food at Imperial Canine. If your dog regularly stays with us, we will stock whichever brand you like at no extra cost.

PAYMENT TERMS

Services are payable in advance for the month ahead. You will recieve an invoice via email which is payable by 1st of the following month.

CANCELLATIONS

4 weeks notice must be given to cancel overnight boarding bookings

48hrs notice must be given to cancel day care bookings

ILLNESS

If your dog becomes ill or injured whilst in the care of Imperial Canine, a vet may need to be consulted at your own cost. If your dog becomes ill and poses a risk to other dogs in the household, following a vet consultation your dog will be transported to another boarding facility that can offer isolation. This will usually be Medivet alfreton but could be another facility if not available.

Full details are included in the consent form you will recieve prior to your booking.
